[S]tache is a character I hope to do as a designer toy. He showed up in one of my 2013
Moleskine Journal along with several other toy drawings that I thought might make up a
group of postmortem superheroes I'd call THANATOYS (or the ThanaTeam ?!).

ThanaRangers! Decomp' Up!

Tache noir sclerotique is the drying of the eyes after death. Normally the decedent's eyes are partially open. When the orbicularis oculi muscles are relaxed, it creates the palpebral fissure which exposes the eyes to the air. This dries out the eye surface, and causes a brown to black line across the eyes.
